Furniture Construction Company has been building custom upholstered furniture in Maiden, North Carolina for over 40 years. We’re a small shop, and that’s on purpose — every chair, sofa, bench, and headboard is made to order by hand, by people who’ve spent their careers learning how to do it right. 

We build the way good furniture has always been built: kiln-dried hardwood frames, seats hand-tied eight ways, goose-down cushions over high-density foam. Much of that work happens where you’ll never see it — inside the frame, under the upholstery — and that’s exactly the point. It’s why our furniture lasts, and why so much of our business comes from people the first piece was built for, coming back for the next one. 

Nothing leaves the shop until it’s right. That was the standard in 1981, and it’s the standard now.
